SAFE-T Scholarship

The $1,000 SAFE-T Scholarship is designed to raise awareness of Domestic Violence in our communities.

 Who can apply

Any graduating High School Senior or anyone who will be attending College full-time in the Summer or Fall of 2019.
The applicant must currently live in one of the following East Texas Counties: Camp, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River or Titus.
Homeschool students can qualify for this scholarship.
No individual who is employed by, or family of someone who is employed by SAFE-T or a board member is eligible for the scholarship.


The qualifying student who creates the best presentation online wins the $1,000 SAFE-T scholarship. The presentation must answer the following question:

What can we do to prevent Domestic Violence in our East Texas communities?


  1. The presentation must be done on Facebook and can be a written post, a video, or an image Facebook that answers The question.
  2. The SAFE-T Scholarship Application must be submitted to one of the three SAFE-T offices, Mt Pleasant, Sulphur Springs or Paris, in person before the deadline.
  3. Both the Scholarship Application and the Facebook post are required for an applicant to be considered for the Scholarship.
  4. Posts on Facebook need to be family friendly.

Deadline: Both the Facebook post and the Scholarship Application must be submitted and posted by April 22, 2019. SAFE-T’s Facebook page must be tagged in the post before the deadline.

The SAFE-T board will vote on the best application/presentation, and the award will be announced on May 1st, 2019.
