Safe-T offers several educational programs through our Youth Education Department.  Each program is geared toward a specific, age-appropriate goal.  Lessons include topics such as respect, anger management, life skills, effective communication, relaxation techniques, listening skills, personal hygeine, safety, and many others.  The lessons are presented in a fun and structured manner, and include the use of Power Point presentations, videos, puppets, journaling, question-and-answer, open discussion, and worksheets.   

 

 

  Follow The Leader is a program designed specifically for Pre-K through Second grade.  Topics discussed  during these lessons include bullying, how to handle strangers, gender diversity, proper eating and hygiene, and varying forms of abuse.  The use of fairy tales, puppets, role-play and charades combine to make each session fun, informative, and effective.   

                                                        

 Boomerang is designed for grades 3 and 4.  It is based on the premise that how you act will come back.  Main themes are respect, student/teacher dynamics, parent/child relationahips, behavior control, peer support, responsiblity, and proper expression of feelings.  Puppets, art therapy, poetry, creative writing, feeling expression, and simple acting are the tools of this program.
